Woman in the World' in Eastern Eye Poll

Bollywood babe Katrina Kaif held onto her crown
as the 'sexiest woman in the world' for a third
year in a row. The star of one of the year's biggest
hits 'Raajneeti' and hotly anticipated Christmas
release 'Tees Maar Khan' beat off tough competition
from some of the most stunning women from around
the world to hold onto her crown in Eastern Eye
newspaper's list of the hottest women. The bankable
Bollywood star was once again one of the most photographed
women in the world and the most in demand with film
producers and fans. Clearly delighted with the hat-trick
of wins Katrina said there was nothing sexier than
a confident woman. "I'm very happy that I have
made it to the top of Eastern Eye's list again.
England is off course a very special place to me
and I think it's very sweet to be voted the sexiest
by them."

Asjad Nazir, who was chairman of the selection
panel, thinks that Katrina's win is all the more
remarkable because of the incredibly high standard.
"Although Bollywood heroines dominated the
top 10, the list for 2010 included stunning beauty
pageant winners, top actresses from around the
world, pop stars and TV personalities. That is
why Katrina should be deservedly proud of her
amazing win."

Chopra narrowly missed out on top spot again by
finishing second for the second year in a row.
The highest placed Pakistani was once again actress
Mehwish Hayat (8), the highest new entry was American
actress Janina Gavankar (12), the highest placed
pop star was British Asian singer Kazz Kumar (19)
and the highest placed beauty queen was Miss Earth
winner Nicole Faria (22). Others in the list included
Bipasha Basu (3), Freida Pinto (4), Kangana Ranuat
(13), Sonam Kapoor (17), Padma Lakshmi (26), Norah
Jones (42) and Sania Mirza (45).
