The
collection marked splendid use of black
and pink. The designer's palette also encompassed
shades of green such as mint, olive and
sage, white, chocolate and caramel. The
designer used fabrics like silk, wool and
velvets for her collection. She worked with
patchwork, ribbon embroidery, appliqué
work, gem and gold embroidery.
The
collection has pleated skirts, beaded cropped jackets, fur trimmed
coats, studded sweaters, cocktail dress, wrap dresses and trench
coats. Thirty bright colours, which she claimed to be her favourite,
dominated Chandra's collection.
"There
is no inspiration behind this collection because I don't restrict
myself. I chose 30 favourite colours and made 30 outfits using them.
I used fabrics like net organza and silk for the line. As far as
embroidery is concerned I have only used 'chikan' embroidery,"
said Chandra.
Her
collection offers skirts of varied lengths, cocktail dresses, baby
doll dresses, loose and fitting blouses of various styles.
As
the first show was dominated by women's wear, the second show by
Gangwani and Tytler featured confident and chic men's wear. Gangwani's
collection offered all a man can ask for. The collection offers
both casual and formal suits, sherwanis and jackets. The designer
chose shades of black, blue and orange for his palette.
Tytler's
collection aptly named as "Mood Swings" was divided into
three dramatically different segments. The colours ranged from ivory
and pink to gold in the first segment, Parisian black and turquoise
in the second and red and forest green in the third segment.
"It
took me five months to put together this collection that is divided
into three basic moods. The first one with lots of frills and gold
signifies the fun loving mood, the second with the more fitted dresses
primarily in black signifies the confident look and the last, and
my favourite, with lots of colours is the Boho look," said
Tytler after the show.
The
line showcased jackets, corsets, skirts and shirts, fabrics like
wool, chiffons, skim and flirt were used to highlight the form.
