Superna Sethi, MD Manhattan Properties, Ealing

Superna Sethi was born in Tanzania, although of Indian origin her grandparents and parents were born in East Africa. At just four months old Superna and her family were forced to flee to England and leave all their property and possessions behind due to the political unrest with Idi Amin.

When they came to England her family settled in Surrey, Superna gained her O'levels and a business studies diploma. Superna wanted to go to university to study marketing but being the only daughter in her family and the only marketing degrees being at Wolverhampton or Cardiff her father did not want her to be so far away from home. Not wanting to go against her father's wishes and not wanting to study another subject Superna went straight to the world of work.

Successful stints at Liberty Life Assurance and as a sales and marketing manager for a hotel inspired Superna to go on to set up her own business, S & S Investments. Specialising in financial services and mortgage advice, the business grew into Manhattan Properties when they began to buy properties in the west London area. This then expanded into buying properties in prestigious areas in central London moving from buying, renovating and selling £30,000 properties to properties over £2.5 million. Today the business specialises in high quality seven star properties with celebrity clients and is currently planning on buying an apartment block in Mayfair, using Superna's design flair to turn it into penthouses worth upward of £15 million.
