Learners 'Y' Factor with Jason Bradbury

Young people, under 16 years of age, using technology in an innovative way for learning are invited to take part in the "Learners 'Y' Factor' competition with star of TV's 'The Gadget Show', Jason Bradbury. The Learners Y Factor is part of the 'Learning Without Frontiers' conference in January 2011. Taking place on Sunday 9th January, Learners 'Y' Factor is an opportunity for under-16s to showcase the innovation and ingenuity being demonstrated amongst young learners using mobile, gaming, social media or other popular technologies in their formal or informal learning. Contestants are individuals or teams of up to 4 presenters aged between 6 and 16 who will present their work to a panel of judges and a live audience.

The closing date for applications is November 30th, 2010 and the event takes place on Sunday 9th January 2011. For teams or individuals traveling to the finals from outside the London M25 perimeter LWF will provide a grant of 50%, (up to a total £250 per individual or team) for travel expenses on presentation of receipts.
