CELEBRATES FOURTH COMMUNITY AWARDS
(10 December 2004)
The
fourth Redbridge Cultural Associations Awards Night, for the
unsung heroes of Redbridge, was a highly spirited event held on
Friday 10th December 2004. The Community Awards the
Pride of Britain Awards of Redbridge honour the boroughs
unsung heroes and promote Redbridge as a diverse London borough.
With 10 award categories and 3 Lifetime Achievement Awards the final
nominees included a wide variety of talent and recognised achievements
across all spheres of life and sections of the community.
Award
categories included Sports Personality, Charity Worker, Doctor of
the Year, Culture and Arts, Service to the Community, Head Teacher
of the Year, Media, Business Personality, Policeman of the Year
and Local Councillor of the Year.
Chairman
of the Redbridge Cultural Association, Councillor Suresh Kumar said:
It was a fantastic event and well attended by the Community of Redbridge,
All the Award nominees and winners were well deserved, its
a pity we could not give all an Award to show our appreciation for
their good work. I hope that everyone present will go away with
my message of hope and goodwill to all and the Awards will inspire
others to join the family of Award winners in Redbridge.
