BOLLYWOOD GOSSIP MAG 'CINEBLITZ' IS RELAUNCHED

Tuesday September 9th saw the launch of the International edition of India's leading Bollywood celebrity magazine, Cineblitz at a star studded bash, held at top West End venue, Bar Bollywood. Stars of the silver screen from both the world's largest film industry, Bollywood and the Brit-Asian scene in the UK flocked to the venue to celebrate the long awaited comeback of the hugely popular glossy of Bollywood gossip.

Leading businessman, politician and owner of Rifa Publications, Dr Vijay Mallya launched the fabulous title with a line up of celebrity guest stars from Mumbai, including: journalist and author Shobhaa De, editor Reta Mehta, as well as Bollywood stars Raveena Tandon, Shilpa Shetty and Sameera Reddy.

Leading actress Raveena Tandon, is one of the selected guest editors for Cineblitz, taking on the role of resident Agony Aunt and advisor, says of her personal involvement: "I am really enjoying developing another string to my bow. Writing a column each month has given me an opportunity to talk to my fans directly. The response has been great and I think it was an insightful move on the part of the Cineblitz team to set the magazine apart from any other. I am sure the UK audiences will enjoy the new look Cineblitz too."

Dr Mallya, said of the launch: "The UK and the US are both key markets for Cineblitz. The International editions will provide not only the very best of Bollywood news - in which interest is constantly growing, but also a supplement featuring local content. I am delighted to be in the UK to launch the title and the support we have already received for the title is very encouraging. I believe that the unprecedented support and relationship we have with the Indian film industry sets as well above the rest."

The October edition of Cineblitz International goes on sale at all good newsagents from Friday 26th September 2003.
