THE BRITISH HOW TO COOK FISH BETTER |
|
Atul
Kochhar,
the first Indian chef to be awarded a Michelin star, who shot
to fame in Britain as a finalist on the BBC's 'The Great British
Menu', has taken a whole new approach to fish by marrying it with
Indian spices and says it's been a revelation. "I've discovered
the marriage of British fish and Indian flavours is one of the
best there is," he says. And he has gone on to write a book
about it.

| CURRIES
MORE FATTENING THAN CHINESE FOOD OR PIZZA |
Having
an Indian meal may be Britain's favourite dish, but researchers
say curries are more fattening than either Chinese food or pizza
takeaways. A single meal of Indian curry has been found to have
more fat than what is recommended for the entire day.

| CURRY
IS STILL KING OF ETHNIC FOODS |
The
demand for curry in Britain continues unabated as Key Note research
estimates that the total UK ethnic foods market by 3.7% to £1.15bn
at rsp. Sales growth slowed slightly between 2003 and 2005, although
the market is thought to have recovered a little in 2006 as a result

| BEST
OF SANJEEV KAPOOR |
|
Being
asked to choose just five favourites from Sanjeev Kapoor's cookbook
armoury is like choosing your favourite sweet from a box of 'Quality
Streets'.....you really like them all and you'd rather not just
choose one! What
I like about Kapoor's recipes is his unashamed love of cooking.
He does not compromise on ingredients and doesn't dress up his
recipes with fripperies that add to the presentation but not to
the taste.
