Following the 2002 success of an all India British Council Tour of 'Future Perfect', the Vayu Naidu Company creates 'South' - weaving storytelling narrative with live music, contemporary dance and bharata natyam.

Meet the Storyteller who sees into the souls of the boy from the West, the man from the East and the woman from the North. These three strangers are drawn together by an irresistible force and are set on a collision course.

Held in a timeless place, the Storyteller conjures a game. She spins the compass; they must share their story. What do they have to reveal before they can be set free? Stranded in the light of the ripening sun, as the needle points South, how will the final story unfold?

Through visual poetry 'South' tells the story of encounters with the soul; a light beam from the past that refracts the future.
