Osai featuring Mandolin U Srinivas, Shankar Mahadevan,
Loy Mendonsa and Sivamani.
Waves of fusion from highly dynamic
and mesmeric individual performers, traversing
through the classical modes to the open vistas
of universal musical styles. Melody though mandolin
and western guitar, flamboyant vocal in melodic
and percussive styles from Shankar, underpinned
by the rhythmic wonder Sivamami, promise an unforgettable
evening.

Mohan Bhatt and Vidwan Ravi Kiran.
Two delightful string instruments from the north
and south, with celebrated performers - 'blinding
speed with faultless legato' and 'awesome - reminiscent
of the human voice' say the cognoscenti.

Violin - Venu Jugalbandi by Prof T N Krishnan
and Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia.
Starting early, with an unparalleled
six decade performing career, this maestro violinist
of the Karnatic tradition - representing the pinnacle
of Sangeetham, in consonance with another master
of melody, flautist Chaurasia - is no stranger
to London audiences. In a rare spectacle of accompaniment
by mridangam wizard Karaikudi Mani.

Santoor Duet by Shivkumar Sharma and Rahul Sharma.
Pristine, transcendental, hypnotic - a few ways
the artistry of Shiv Kumar can be described -
featured here in a unique father and son duo.
Accompanied on the Tabla by veteran Ustad Shafat
Ahmed Khan in combination with virtuoso Vikku

Tala Vadyam ensemble led by Karaikudi Mani.
Ensemble percussion has gained great
momentum as a movement, originating in the last
few decades from South India with mridangam maestro
Karaikudi Mani at its forefront. Here, a fascinating
collection of textures are pitched together in
a flamboyant revelry, featuring Tabla from the
North with Ustad Shafat Ahmad Khan, Chenda and
Thimila from Kerala with Mattanur Sankaran Kutty
and Pallvur Kunhi Kuttan Marar. Complimenting
them will be other South Indian percussion instruments
from amongst Ghatam, Thavil, Kanjira and Morsing.

Attam by Bharati Shivaji with musicians.
This Keralan classical style is inspired
by the dance of the celestial enchantress. Abounding
with grace and beauty of expression is pioneer
Bharati Shivaji.
Bharatanatyam

Sangamam
A joyous confluence of the three dance styles
