A visually stunning multi-cultural double bill that combines high quality South Asian dance and live music, with a touch of African roots. Nina Rajarani presents a new work sensitively written and composed by talented vocalist Y Yadavan. The piece portrays a mature woman in love, who is in constant dialogue with her mind, talking to he absent lover. But she doubts her lover's commitment. A highly emotional piece, this work is studded with complex rhythmic intricacies, performed at breathtaking speed.

Bawren Tavaziva (Place Prize finalist 2004), choreographs the second piece. With a more controversial stance of the theme 'deception', he speaks from the point of view of nation, race and community. Moved by centuries of destruction of indigenous peoples, Bawren believes that weapons of today are more subtle, but the goals are the same.
