Kali Theatre Company present 'Chaos' by Azma Dar and 'Bells' by Yasmin Whittaker Khan. Drawing on their Pakistani heritage, these writers offer strikingly different perspectives on life in Britain today.

In 'Chaos', Mr Rizvi's ambitions to become a local councillor are thrown into turmoil as his family reveals shocking secrets and world events spiral out of control. 'Chaos' is a dark, frantic comedy about the collapse of understanding on a personal and political level and the disastrous consequences that follow - a glimpse of a world in desperate need of tolerance and love, a world on the brink of madness.

'Bells' takes us into the seedy world of Mujra (courtesan) clubs, a centuries old tradition in Pakistan that is now growing in Britain. A butcher's shop by day and a brothel by night, Bells has all the sparkle of Lollywood (the Pakistani film industry) but the glitz and glamour is tarnished by the pain and degradation of secret lives. Is love possible in a place where flesh is bought and sold?
