BOLLYWOOD DANCE IN 2005

Get a taste of stardom in 2005 as Bollywood celebrity, Honey Kalaria, re-opens the doors of her Dance Academies for the New Year. Fourteen centres across Greater London will being new January classes the week of 10th January 2005, in Ilford, Harrow, Southall, Wembley, Tooting, Finchley, Upton Park, Central London, Hatch End, Northwood, Slough, Croydon, Milton Keynes and Kingsbury.

The first class is free, with no obligation to complete the course; and for the first time ever, anyone joining the classes will be included on Honey's Dance Academy Agency free of charge, giving them the opportunity to work as extras, star in films, pop videos and stage shows.

People can choose from Bollywood, Bhangra, Kathak or Acting. Classes are for all age groups from 4 years with no upper age limit. Whether you dream of being a Bollywood star, or if you just fancy a little eastern promise to spice up your new year, you will want to start learning those new routines and steps quickly, as in February 2005 there will also be the opportunity to audition for the Bollywood Musical 'The Pit and the Poppadom.' The musical
will feature a top Bollywood Star and is to be staged in May 2005. 'The Pit and the Poppadom' has already taken to the stage in Newcastle where students performed to a full house every night and received star reviews for the spectacular dance and choreography.

BOLLYWOOD GROOVES

Run by Vandana Alimchandani, Bollywood Grooves is delighted to offer a range new dance courses in 2005. Bollywood Grooves courses offer a creative mixture of technique, energy and emotion but most of all it offers immense fun; mainly focusing on poses, grace, hand movements and expression which are an integral part of Bollywood dancing. Their dance style incorporates a fusion of Classical Indian, Folk, Arabic, Latino and Bollywood.

During the courses you will learn some energetic bhangra steps and choreographed routines to a medley of 2-3 of the latest Bollywood songs and learn how to move to the latest Bhangra tracks! This differs from the drop-in weekly group classes where you learn a different routine each week.

Both weekly classes and courses are a great way to keep fit as well as learning a completely new style of dance!
