A new site-specific production by the highly acclaimed Wolverhampton theatre company, Foursight Theatre, will explore the personal stories of generations of South Asian women from the Black Country region of the West Midlands.

Through live performance, recorded interview, music, sound and dance, the audience will be taken on a journey through the lives of these women: their strength and determination, their hopes and desires.

Foursight Theatre have collaborated with Black Country Touring and English Heritage to bring you these unique stories - stories of school and children's games, of separation and duty, of pink cities and terraced houses, cornflakes, chips, chapattis and dahl. Travelling across continents, adapting to change, discovering lands of colour - women adapt and survive the many journeys from the innocence of childhood through to marriage and adult life. Apna Ghar is an acknowledgement and a celebration of these women.
