Dixit Joshi heads off to Hong Kong

Well-known
investment banker Dixit Joshi threw a lavish leaving party for friends
and colleagues on the announcement of his departure to Hong Kong
to head-up Asian Equities for Deutsche Bank AG. The party, which
coincided with his 40th birthday, was held in the Crystal Ballroom
at the swanky Mayfair Hotel in London on Saturday 18th June 2011
and was attended by veritable "who's who" of the Asian
diaspora. Among the guests were Lord Paul Boateng, Lord & Lady
Loomba, Barry Gardiner MP, H.E Mrs Monika Kapil Mohta Indian Ambassador
to Poland, India media commentator Suhel Seth, businessmen George
and Mike Jatania, investment banker Jitesh Gadhia of The Blackstone
Group, stock trader Raj Gill & his wife, fashion journalist
Priyanka Gill, chairman of Currencies Direct Mayank Patel OBE, journalist
Yasmin Alibhai-Brown and TV presenter Arti Halai among a host of
colleagues, friends and family. Guests were treated to a wide range
of Indian delicacies and a spectacular laser dance performance and
DJ-set.

Dixit
Joshi is currently heading up Asian Equities at Deutsche Bank AG
in Hong Kong, having previously been appointed the Head of Equities
for Europe the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) on 14th July 2010.
Prior to that, he was Managing Director and Head of Equities, Europe,
Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific at Barclays Capital and a member
of the Equities Executive and Management Committees. Prior to taking
up his last role at Barclays Capital in October 2008, Mr. Joshi
was the Head of Equity-Linked Products and led the growth of the
Equity Derivatives business since joining the firm in November 2003.
Prior
to Barclays Capital, Mr. Joshi spent eight years at Credit Suisse
First Boston (CSFB). He was most recently Managing Director and
Head of Equity Index Arbitrage and Quantitative Trading for Europe
and Asia. Prior to that, he served as Chief Risk Officer for CSFB's
Equity Derivatives and Convertibles Unit based in New York, and
before that Head of Equity Derivatives Exotic Trading based in London.
When he joined CSFB in 1995 he was in the derivatives subsidiary,
Credit Suisse Financial Products.
In
April 2008 he was re-appointed a board member of ISDA (International
Swaps and Derivatives Association) which is among the world's largest
global financial trade associations and is an Equities Board Member
of the Association for Financial Markets in Europe.
He
serves as a board member of the Smithsonian Institution National
Museum of African Art in Washington, DC and is also President of
the Advisory Board for National Sewa Day, a social action and volunteering
initiative for community.
Mr.
Joshi holds a degree in Statistics and Actuarial Science from the
University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. He is married to
Priti Joshi and is father to three girls.
