More than 1,900 people attended Shaanti’s Showcase Parties for new album 'Mighty Asian Beat's and new single Disco Warrior by The Kalyan. Hosted by Manga from Galaxy /Shaanti Play Records highlights included a wealth of home-grown talent featured on the album, from the North London bite of UK Apache’s "Arabian Nuttah Story" through the Midlands swagger of "Rowdy (Desi Refix)" by AC and Terra featuring Des-C and Genesis Elijah, to the youthful energy of "In Da Dance" by MDK Cartel and "Majestic" by Sunit & Rakstar as well as guitar anthems from The Kalyan who performed the hit new single "Disco Warrior" live.

Swami with their swaggering performance of "Electro Jugni" played up to their rock god status with some good old-fashioned crowd interaction next PMC exclusively dropped his first official mainstream track since the hit-single "Mundian to Bach Ke - Beware of the Boys" to the Shaanti crowd. His track "Khada Soorma" mixes megatonic rhythms and vocals from the controversial singer Chamkilla from India who was assasinated in 1988, with a underground, grimy hip- hop edge compared to his usual material while DJ’s like The Specialist showcased a drum-and-bass mash-up of "Heer Dolhi," followed by Mo Magic whose "China Doll Remix" had the crowds jumping to a roar.
