Preeya
Kalidas has released 'Love's Never Easy'
the new single from smash hit London show
Bombay
Dreams. 'Love's Never Easy' the key
ballad from the musical is rich in instrumentation
and rhythm and follows up Preeya's debut
single 'Shakalaka Baby'. This track, recorded
at A R Rahman's studio in India, features
sitars, flutes and strings.
'Love's
Never Easy' and the 'Bombay
Dreams' album are the work of India's most talented and succesful
composer A R Rahman and Marius De Vries, the BAFTA award-winning
producer of the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. A R rahman, who composed
the show's music has to date composed for over fifty Bollywood films,
including the Oscar-nominated 'Lagaan'.
Rahman has sold over 200 million albums worldwide, more than Madonna
and Britney Spears put together!
Preeya
Kalidas, who plays 'Priya' in Bombay Dreams, has already made a
name for herself on the big screen in Gurinder Chadha's 'Bend it
Like Beckham' and is shortly due to star as the singing lead role
in the forthcoming film 'Bollywood Queen'. Kalidas, who performed
'Love's Never Easy' at last year's Royal Variety Performance, hopes
that the single will bring Bollywood flavour to the cold winter
months.
