Music -> Navin Kundra releases 'Tere Liye'
Navin Kundra releases 'Tere Liye' (For You)
(13 February 2009)

Navin KundraBritish Asian singer/songwriter Navin Kundra releases his brand new single “Tere Liye” (For You) this Valentines season. The heartfelt ballad is the perfect love song for romantics of all ages! Navin has been working hard on a unique feature for the song. He’s been personally recording “Tere Liye” with the names of all those who have pre-ordered the single and dedicated the song to the person’s loved one. After the huge success of his debut number 1 hit single ‘Tukde Tukde’ and follow up ‘Zinda Hoon’, Navin Kundra is back with ‘Love Thing’, an energetic mash up of English, Punjabi and Hindi (thanks to India’s nightingale Lata Mangeshkar).

Navin KundraNavin is a talented singer, songwriter and composer. His main strength is his versatility to perform English, Hindi and Punjabi songs from a variety of genres and his live performances utilise these abilities to appeal to the widest range of audience. His first break came on his 19th Birthday when he represented the UK in an exclusive World Series of Zee TV's 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' filmed in Dubai. This gave him the opportunity to showcase his talent to stalwart figures in the Indian music industry, such as Ghulam Ali, Zakhir Hussain, Jagjit Singh, O.P. Nayyar and Shaan, as well as presenting his singing talent to a worldwide television audience.

Navin KundraHe then went on to win the BBC Asian Network's Unsung 2005 competition after a live performance at the prestigious Birmingham Symphony Hall along with some of the biggest artists in Asian music including Gurdaas Maan, Jazzy B, Stereo Nation and the Rishi Rich Project. After his rendition of ‘Feel’ by Robbie Williams, the judges, that included Rishi Rich, Nyrone, Adil Ray, Shin, and Mona Singh, declared Navin the winner of the competition. He also won the audiences favourite award as voted by thousands of BBC Asian Network listeners.

Now under management by Nyrone from N1 Management, the manager responsible for launching Raghav’s career, Navin is working on developing a new sound and experimenting with different musical styles for his solo project. “‘Love Thing’ is very different to ‘Tukde Tukde’ and my forthcoming tracks are different from each other too, but they’re all rooted in capturing the essence of Indian music with a contemporary feel.”
