After originally being spotted by legendary composer AR Rahman during her stint in the hit West End musical 'Mamma Mia', Karen’s career has come along leaps and bounds. She went on to work with Rahman in the development of the stage musical 'Bombay Dreams,' wrote and recorded with him on the soundtrack for 'Provoked' (a movie that she also starred in, alongside Aishwariya Rai) and of course penned a couple of songs with him in Chennai for her own forthcoming album.

In 2008, Karen released her debut EP 'The Live Sessions', starred in Terry Pratchett’s 'Colour of Magic' and as the lead in 'The Scorpion King 2 – The Rise of a Warrior', the prequel to the blockbuster movie 'The Scorpion King'. This year will find her opposite the likes of Vince Vaughn and 'Sex and the City' actress Kristen Davis in the upcoming Hollywood movie 'Couples Retreat'.
