The Bollywood Star compilation album celebrates the success of the show and will be released on June 7th by Universal Music in association with Maverick Television, Xlantic Music and Channel 4. The album has been created under the expert guidance of David Fischer from Xlantic Music and Radio 1's Bobby Friction who has blended the more traditional Bollywood material with cuts from some of the urban-Asian music scene's hottest tracks.

Bobby Friction said: " What we had to do was to create a balance between the Asian community who may have heard a few of these songs before and the mainstream public who will no doubt be turned on to the sound through the show. I think we made a pretty good job of it and it's a great compilation".

Old school flava meets new grooves. Traditional tracks such as 'Dola re Dola' and 'Aap Jaisa Koi' rub shoulders with hot tunes from top ten chart stars Raghav, the Rishi Rich Project and Panjabi MC. Other hot off the press underground tracks including Voodoo Doll's 'So What', the Dum Dum Project's 'Punjabi 5-0', not forgetting, D'Caro's acclaimed Punjabi-style remix of Groove Armada's 'I see you Baby'.
