'THE
WEDDING RUN'
Speed
dating, a cheesy chat show and gate crashing a wedding abroad are
some of the antics a group of friends get up to in the exciting
new film, 'The Wedding Run.' The storyline tackles family, arranged
marriages and inter-racial relationships in a realistic and humorous
way. Each character deals with love and responsibility in their
own unique and comical way. Produced by The Filim Company and Tower
Hamlets Art & Events, this fun-packed comedy adventure uses both
stage performances and pre-recorded film sequences to tell the tale
of love, friendship and marriage.
Laugh
and cry with the friends as they realise that even love has a deadline!
Follow them on their last minute trip abroad to gate crash a wedding
but
can they stop the ceremony in time?

A. Foyz, Director, said: "Although we've done many productions
in the past, we wanted to do something closer to our hearts. A comedy
adventure based on quirky characters really appealed to us. Film
and stage is a collaborative process and our superb cast have proven
this by bringing in their own flavour to the production and bringing
our zany characters off the script and onto the stage."

Ruksana Begum, Arts Development Officer at Brady Arts & Community
Centre said: "As a local film production house, The Filim Company
have made many shorts but were keen to work on a local level, looking
at issues effecting British Asians in their late twenties. We got
involved with this project as it immediately grabbed our attention.
It had an innovative way of dealing with cultural issues without
demonising anybody."
The
film is released in the UK on 17 September 2005.
