We are thrilled to present the 'Indian Tarantino', Shashanka Ghosh's fabulous dark, Bollywood comedy. Waisa Bhi Hota Hai has received rave reviews throughout India. It tells of the unlikely friendship which develops between Puneet - a copywriter who is dissatisfied with life, and Vishu - a relentless hit man, whose life Puneet reluctantly saves. This act changes both their lives. Puneet, who hates violence, manages to bring two rival gangs down without firing a single shot, then escapes to Mumbai with a heap of cash. Ghosh succeeds in combining an acute portrait of modern India with impeccable comic sense.

This is Shashanka Ghosh's first film. He worked as a director for MTV and headed the award-winning and infamous creative team that launched Channel [v] India. Shashanka has won a multitude of awards in India and internationally; he is currently in the UK seeking financing for an Indian cowboy movie. RC
