Masti MASTI
Directed by: Indra Kumar
Starring: Anay Devgan, Vivke Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Riteish, Lara Dutta, Aamrita Rao, Tara Sharma & Genelia.
UK Release 9 April 2004.

Masti is an unashamedly tongue-in-cheek Bollywood comedy farce directed by Indra Kumar and starring Vivek Oberoi, currently linked to Roland Joffe's on-off "Singularity", Aftab Shivdansi and Ritesh Deshmukh, with special appearances by Lara Dutta and Ajay Devgan, both last seen in "Khakee". It is a story of three friends, Meet, Prem and Amar who believe that whoever said marriage is a lovely institution should be locked up!

Meet (Oberoi), whose name means lover in Hindi, is a bachelor playboy who does all he can to live up to his name! That is until he gets married, as his new wife ensures he cools his boots at home rather then painting the town red. Meanwhile Prem (Shivdansi) has always been jealous of Meet's success with women resulting in him regularly embellishing his own success with the opposite sex. However his friends and family are not easily fooled and, at his parents' insistence, he gets married to the sweet and innocent but ultimately un-exciting Geeta. Finally, Amar (Deshmukh) is the downtrodden husband whose worst nightmare, his mother-in-law, has just come to live with them.

So when these three friends meet up after three years for a re-union and the frustrations of their married lives come to the forefront, they decide that the only way to spice up their lives is to have as many affairs possible for the next month and then meet and exchange notes! So the rocking, wacky and hilarious process starts as they go out looking for a good time but instead encounter nothing but trouble, a sinister plot and the danger of exposure, not least from Inspector Sikander (Devgan) who is hot on their trail.

The film is released in key cities on April 9th. For further information, please see the website www.mastithefilm.com.
