REDHOTCURRY REVIEW
Rating:

(5 flames)
This
book is quite simply the best business book I have read in ages.
Packed with facts, case studies and anecdotal evidence, it highlights
the issues involved in dealing with India. Everything from legal,
infrastructure, economic and inward investment vehicles to showcasing
the pharmaceutical and energy sectors. Company formation, dispute
resolution, intellectual property rights, consumer protection, accounting
and tax issues are all covered, alongside the ''softer' people issues,
language and communication and business culture in one of Asia's
fastest growing economies.
Nobody
doubts that by 2025 India will easily become a new economic superpower,
about 60% the size of the US economy according to this book. With
an economy in rapid growth and development based on a strong industrial
backbone, it is apparent that Western businesses should be doing
business in India. The dilemma is...how is this best achieved?
Consultant
Editor Roderick Millar has pulled together a group of elite contributors
to this debate - ranging from lawyers, economists and journalists
to software engineers - all highlighting successful routes to market,
avoiding the legal, infrastructure and economic pitfalls along the
way. I would suggest not even contemplating dealing with India without
reading this book from cover to cover first. It's worth every penny
of its hefty price tag!
