VINEET BHATIA OPENS 'URBAN TURBAN' EATERIE

Michelin-starred Indian chef, Vineet Bhatia has opened his latest eaterie 'Urban Turban' in Westbourne Grove in London. Inspired by the informal “street eateries” of India, Urban Turban enables diners to enjoy authentic and easy Indian food in a way never experienced before. Vineet intends to roll out the Urban Turban concept all across the UK over the coming years.

Opened to mixed reviews, 'Urban Turban' is an innovative attempt to elevate "street food" (to be interpreted as "fast food") to tables in this fashionable area of the London. Given that legendary 'Khan's' is located almost opposite to the new 'Urban Turban', the locals should be quite willing to adopt the new concept with gusto.

Among the restaurants specialities are ' desi tapas' - small portions of up to six dishes served in paper cones. The contents include machli Amritsari - goujons of white fish in spiced batter, lamb seekh kebab, chicken lollipops, chilli chicken and Gujarati speciality khandvi – rolled pancakes and potato chat.
