Awards & Rewards!

This week it is all about awards & rewards. The IPA has today revealed new data which shows that ethnic minorities are under represented in mainstream TV advertisements. Nothing new there, but the message is clear - if you want to appeal to ethnic groups, it helps if you feature them in your ads!

The ascent of India continues. Many prominent Indians grabbed trophies at last year's 'The Asian Awards'. Judging for this year's awards has just begun and if you fancy attending, I highly recommend you purchase a ticket ASAP. One of the most glitzy, star-studded events of the year (let me put it this way, I'm already thinking about my outfit), The Asian Awards are likely to be the highlight of Autumn 2011.

SunMark has reached a new high mark of its own, winning a Queen's Award for the third year in a row and appearing in The Sunday Times 'Profit Track 100' index on the weekend.

Luxury brand Aston Martin is hoping to cash-in on the burgeoning Indian market, it has just launched its iconic British cars in Mumbai. Cookery writer Manju Malhi is celebrating a return to book publishing with her newly launched 'Classic Indian Recipes: 75 Signature Dishes' and the Anila's Sauces brand has just had a revamp.

In East London, Brick Lane is celebrating its success on being named the official 'Olympic Curry Village' with the return of the Brick Lane Curry Festival from 8th - 15th May 2011 and July 2011 sees the celebration of the first English Curry Awards in Manchester.
