EDITORIAL COMMENT

Before the "silly season" (i.e no real news because everybody is on holiday) sets in, I thought I'd do a quick roundup. But it seems the silly season has started early. Among the silly rulings by the Law Lords (they'll probably get overturned next month by the appeals court) is the well-won case of Southall Black Sisters. Just as I was sharpening my pencil for a headline like "Southall Black Sisters...Black No More!", it seems sense has prevailed.

Elsewhere, Snoop Dogg has released his bhangra-hip-hop track (I kid you not!) and there's a clutch of extremely silly Bollywood movies on release. I'll now take my silly self off for a two-week break in a hammock (better than a straight-jacket I guess!).
