Indian Government to allow 51% stakes of FDI in multi-brand retail
Supermarket shopperThe UK-India Business Council (UKIBC) welcomed the news that the Indian Government will permit foreign direct investment (FDI) of up to 51% in multi-brand retail, as well as a simultaneous increase from 51% to 100% FDI for single brand retail. LKQ Corporation Acquires Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia's Euro Car Parts
Sukhpal Singh AhluwaliaAmerican firm LKQ Corporation today announced that it had acquired Euro Car Parts, the largest distributor of automotive aftermarket parts in the United Kingdom, from founder Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia, a refugee who came to Britain in 1972 following the expulsion of Asians from Uganda.
